Please note that Admin Hub changes can take up to 5 minutes to take effect in Hachette Learning Adaptive.
The Access Coordinator can edit learners in bulk by exporting their records from the Admin Hub on a CSV file. Editable fields include the learner's name, email address/username and password, and class. You can also grant and revoke access to learners this way.
To edit learners in bulk:
- Log in to Adaptive as the Access Coordinator.
- Click Admin Hub in the bottom left.
- Go to Students > With access.
- Click Export CSV.
- Edit the CSV file according to our CSV guidelines.
- Return to the Students > With access tab and click Import CSV.
- Click Select your CSV... and select the edited file.
- Click Upload CSV.
If you are updating learners' email addresses, please note that they will receive an email asking them to verify the change to the new address. Their address will not change in the Admin Hub until they verify the change.
You cannot revert an account to be username-only once you've added an email address.
When you upload the file, a pop-up window will show its status. If any records fail to upload, then you will be able to download a copy of your CSV with the error messages. You can correct and reupload this CSV to import the rejected learners.
During peak times, like the start of a new academic year, your CSV upload will take longer than normal. If your file says it has been validated and is pending processing, rest assured that your file is in the queue. You can exit the Admin Hub if needed without cancelling the upload.
If you are concerned that your file has become stuck (i.e. it has remained as processing for more than 24 hours since the time you uploaded it), please contact the digital support team.
