If your learners are appearing in your MIS but not updating correctly in Boost Insights, there could be several reasons:
Possible causes:
- Incorrect or incomplete data in your MIS
Learner details may not be correctly entered or updated in your school’s MIS. - Sync issues
The MIS sync may not have run successfully or may be delayed. - Start-of-year setup not completed
If it’s the beginning of a new academic year, your Access Coordinator will need to complete a manual sync in the Admin Hub to refresh learner data. - Pending access review
The data may have synced correctly, but learners may still require manual review and access assignment by the Access Coordinator.
What to do next:
- Check the learner’s record in your MIS
Ensure all details are accurate and up to date. - Run a manual sync
If everything appears correct, try running a manual sync via the Admin Hub. You can find instructions on how to do that [here]. - Review the ‘Without Access’ tab
Learners who are synced automatically from your MIS but haven’t yet been granted access will appear in the ‘Without Access’ section. The Access Coordinator will need to manually assign access to ensure they can log in and appear in reports. - Understand data retention
Please bear in mind that the system does not automatically delete any unsynced learners. Due to GDPR requirements, any outdated or incorrect learner records must be reviewed by your Access Coordinator and manually requested for deletion via the Admin Hub if necessary.
