Once a learner has logged in to the test player and clicked Start, the timer in the top right will begin. If they close the test before the timer runs out, they can log in again to continue from where they left off.
All Year 1 and 2 tests for New PiRA, New PUMA, PiRA for Scotland, and New GaPS have a pause button next to the timer. You can enable the pause button for other papers, hide the timer altogether, or grant extra time by changing the test's settings.
The current question number is shown in the top left. You can move between questions by clicking the arrows in the top left or the Previous and Next buttons at the bottom. You can also click the Review and submit button at the top to see which questions have been answered and navigate between them.
Use the icons in the sidebar to:
Switch between full screen and windowed mode
Flag a question on the Review screen as a reminder to return to it later
Adjust the test player's font size and colour scheme
You can expand the sidebar by clicking the arrow in the bottom right.
Submitting an interactive test
Learners MUST submit their interactive tests once they're finished to ensure their results appear on the marksheets and reports:
Navigate to the final question.
Click Review and submit in the bottom right.
Click Finish.
Click Submit.
If they run out of time, a pop-up window will prompt them to submit their results instead.
Network interruptions
If the connection to the test taker app is lost, a red banner will appear at the top of the screen. Answers will be saved locally so that learners can continue with the test. However, they will not be able to submit and complete their test until the connection is restored. A green banner will appear once the connection is restored.
