The Metacognition progress report shows how learners improved in both proficiency and metacognition during the learning activities.
The first two columns are a virtual pre-test: we use data collected from the learner to assess how they performed the first time they interacted with the probes. We focus on unconscious incompetence because it is the most dangerous.
The four columns in the middle show how the four metacognitive states changed, and the last two show where the learner is now.
The 'Time to proficiency' tile shows how long it took each learner to reach their current level of proficiency, along with the median time for all learners in the class. Expect to see roughly a 4:1 ratio between the shortest and longest times (for learners at 100% proficiency).
Hovering over a bar will show the name of the learner and their time.
The 'Accuracy' tile shows what proportion of probe responses were correct. It indicates the extent to which the learners found this course easy or difficult.
The heatmap shows the relative performance of different learners against the learning objectives in the course. This highlights which content proved to be easier or more difficult overall, and which learners found the content to be more or less challenging.
