To read an eBook in the app, tap the eBook cover on your dashboard to download it to your device. This ensures you can still read the eBook without an internet connection. Tap the eBook cover again to open it.
Please note that Hachette Learning Adaptive eBooks must be opened in a browser once before they'll appear in the app.
eBooks open in 'Print view' by default. This is a PDF version of the physical book. Swipe left and right to move between each page.
Many eBooks also feature an 'Interactive view', in which you can annotate the text, create flashcards, and have passages read aloud using text-to-speech. Scroll up and down to move between pages, and swipe left and right to move between chapters.
To switch between 'Print view' and 'Interactive view' where supported, tap the screen to open the control panel, then tap the two arrows in the top row.
To tour the other settings and features of the eBook reader, tap the screen to open the control panel, then tap More > Take a tour in the bottom right. The tour changes depending on whether you are in 'Print' or 'Interactive view'.
