The teacher dashboard is the first page you'll see when you log in to Hachette Learning Adaptive. It's comprised of three main sections:
The navigation menu and search bar on the left
The 'Agenda' in the centre
The class list on the right
You can return to main dashboard at any point by clicking the three horizontal lines in the top left corner and selecting Dashboard from the drop-down menu.
Navigation menu and search bar
Search: search for specific learners, classes, and content from the dashboard.
Assign work: assign work to your learners.
Feedback: view learners and classes awaiting feedback on work you have assigned.
Data & insights: review class and learner performance across modules and using a variety of metrics.
My courses: view content you're subscribed to.
Agenda
The agenda panel shows the tasks that you and other teachers have assigned to learners. Click the Cards view and Calendar view icons in the top right to switch between the two modes.
Cards view
In 'Cards view', assigned tasks are displayed as cards. Each card includes the task title, module type, and assigned class or classes. Past/expired tasks are marked 'Past'.
Click the View learners icon at the bottom of the card to see learners in the selected classes; click the View my reports icon to see their available reports.
Click a task card to see the modules that comprise it.
Sort the cards by 'type', 'due date', and 'available from' date using the drop-down boxes at the top.
Click the three dots on the right-hand side of a card to hide, copy, or delete the task. Hidden cards can be found and unhidden by clicking the Hidden cards icon in the top right corner.
Calendar view
In the calendar view, tasks you've assigned are display on their due date.
Tasks without a due date can be viewed by clicking Assignments without deadline in the middle of the calendar. Tasks will only appear in this panel if the calendar is set to the date they were assigned on or after; they will not appear if you are looking at a date before they were assigned.
You can switch between a weekly or daily view by clicking the drop-down box in the top right. If you navigate away from the current day, click Today in the top left to return to it.
Select a task to reopen the assignment window.
My classes
The class list on the right of the teacher dashboard shows populated classes from your Admin Hub.
Hover over a class name to see quick links to the different tabs in the class dashboard:
- Assignments & projects
- Learners
- My reports
- Feedback
- Goals & expectations
Alternatively, click the class name in the list to display the assignments for that class in the 'Agenda' panel. Click All classes to return the 'Agenda' panel to its default view.
