When you add learners to Boost Insights, either manually or via MIS sync, they must be set up in their registration classes/form groups in the purple 'Classes' tab. They can only belong to one 'Class' at a time.
However, you can use custom groups to group them in other ways--by subject class or reading group, for example. There is no limit to the number of custom groups a learner can belong to.
To create a custom group:
- Log in to Boost Insights.
- Click Admin Hub in the bottom left.
- Go to the orange Groups tab.
- Click New group in the bottom right.
- Name the group and add a description (optional).
- Tick learners on the left to add them to the group on the right.
- Click Save group.
Greyed out learners are in Pupils > Without access and won't appear in Boost Insights until they're granted access.
To edit a group, select it and click View/edit. Click Delete group to delete the group instead.
