Creating custom groups in Adaptive

Please note that Admin Hub changes can take up to 5 minutes to take effect in Hachette Learning Adaptive.

Before you can add learners to Hachette Learning Adaptive, you must create a class for them. Learners can only belong to one class at a time, but you can use custom groups to group them in different ways (by subject class, for example). There is no limit to the number of custom groups a learner can belong to.

To create a custom group: 

  1. Log in to Adaptive. 
  2. Click Admin Hub in the bottom left. 
  3. Go to the orange Groups tab. 
  4. Select New group in the bottom right. 
  5. Name the group and tick the users you'd like to add on the left.
  6. Click Save group.
