Instead of adding learners manually or by uploading a CSV, you can generate a self-registration link for them instead. You can share this link as you see fit; for example, by posting it to your VLE.
Self-registered learners will log in with their chosen email address and manage their own password. If you would like to register a learner with a username and manage their password yourself instead, add them manually or upload them using the CSV template.
You must set up your classes/registration groups before learners can self-register.
Enabling self-registration
- Log in to Hachette Learning Adaptive as the Access Coordinator.
- Click Admin Hub in the bottom left.
- Go to the orange Preferences tab.
- Tick 'Allow students to manage their own login credentials', then 'Allow students to self-register via this URL'.
- Click Copy link and paste the self-registration URL it where you like.
When learners click the self-registration link, they will need to enter their name and email address and select their class, then click Register. An email will be sent to them asking them to verify their account and create a password.
If your self-registration link stops working or you think it has been compromised, click Generate a new link to disable it and create a new one.
