Introduction
Once your learners have completed their interactive tests or you've entered their paper marks, you can start generating and downloading reports.
This article will show you how to generate the following reports:
- Subject performance highlight: a quick overview comparing school performance between up to three separate test suites.
- Specific product reports: individual and group reports, including Individual and Grouped Shine Interventions reports, available for different test suites.
- Product comparison report/group average review report: a comparative report comparing the group average of a class, group, or year group across the test suites used in an academic year.
- Shine Interventions: AMT and ART Progress quiz reports: reports for the Shine Interventions Progress quizzes and Strand tests.
If you would like to export your test data on a spreadsheet containing your learners' raw marks, strand scores, standardised scores (SS), age-standardised scores (Age-SS), subject ages, and Hodder scale scores (HSS), see Exporting Spreadsheet Data.

Highlighting Subject Performance Across Your School
- Log in to Boost Insights and click Analyse data: dashboards & reports.
- Use the dropdown boxes under 'School Overview' to select up to three test suites, the academic year, and school term.
Generating Specific Product Reports
You can generate different individual and group reports, including Individual and Grouped Shine Interventions reports, depending on the test suite/paper you'd like to analyse. See Standard Report Types and Shine Interventions Report Types to see which test suites support which reports.
To generate specific product reports:
- Log in to Boost Insights and click Analyse data: dashboards & reports.
- Under the Specific Product Reports tab, select the test suite you'd like to generate a report for.
- Choose the type of report you'd like to generate. Shine Interventions reports are on the right.
- Select the class, group, year group, or individual learner you'd like to generate a report for (options will vary depending on the report type chosen). You can select one year group or multiple classes, groups, or learners, but you cannot mix and match.
- Select the specific paper you'd like to analyse in the top left.
If you would like to view a report for a paper your learners took in a previous year, or if you have administered a paper that is higher or lower than your learners' current year group, then you need to select their current class or group and the paper they took at the time to view the report.
Downloading Specific Product Reports
The Group, Individual learner, Individual progress, and Shine Interventions Grouped and Individual intervention reports can all be downloaded as PDFs once generated.
Group reports have a Download button in the top right corner. The individual reports have Download all and Download selected buttons, so that you can download the report for multiple learners at once if you've selected more than one.
For the Question-level analysis report, there is an option to Export test data as a spreadsheet. This will include the learners' raw marks, strand scores, standardised scores (SS), age-standardised scores (Age-SS), subject ages, and Hodder scale scores (HSS).
