Re-assessing pupils, classes, and groups
SNAP Maths allows you to track a pupil’s progress over time. You can find information about how to create a new assessment for an individual pupil, or a pupil in a class or group here.
Re-assessing using the questionnaires
The questionnaires are available to re-take with every new assessment created for a pupil. They will help you track how a pupil's maths skills and feelings about maths are improving.
If the questionnaires are re-taken, you can review progress via the Questionnaire Profile on the Plan, Do and Review page by clicking Compare a previous assessment:
If the comparison view (as shown above) is selected, this will be included in the Individual Report download which can be found at the top of the ‘Plan, Do and Review’ page. The pupil’s Core Profile will also be exported in the PDF.
Re-assigning the Fluency Boosters
For some pupils you may wish to re-assign the Fluency Boosters so that they can re-visit them and refresh their skills. For other pupils you may find that the Fluency Boosters were not appropriate (due to their age and/or ability) but through intervention work the pupil is now ready to access a Fluency Booster(s).
Once a new assessment has been created for a pupil on the Assess page, you can (re)assign their Fluency Boosters via their Core Profile on the Plan, Do and Review page. Information about how to assign and administer the Fluency Boosters can be found here.
If a pupil took a Fluency Booster as part of their initial assessment, or a previous assessment, and you would like to look back at the progress graphs, you can use the dropdown menu underneath their Core Profile on the Plan, Do and Review page:
Select the date of the previous assessment and the historical Fluency Booster progress graph(s) will display.
Note that you can also use this dropdown to view the questionnaire data from previous assessments. The Questionnaire Profile will update to display the data linked to the assessment date selected. To see recent and previous questionnaire data side-by-side click ‘Compare a previous assessment’.
Notes
At the bottom of the Plan, Do and Review page you will see a Notes box:
Use this to keep track of any meetings you have with parent/carers, strategy implementation plans etc. Clicking ‘Add note’ will save the note. There is no limit to the number of notes you can create.
Once saved, to delete click the bin icon; clicking the pencil icon will allow you to edit the note.
Please note: only the person who created the note can delete and/or edit it.
